Honey Springs 2025 Report

The Battle of Honey Springs Reenactment is a special event, held on the original ground where history unfolded. This year’s event brought together scores of reenactors, more than 1,800 students for Friday’s School Day, and large crowds throughout the weekend.

The OKC Signal Corps / Western Detachment was honored to take part. We demonstrated the operations of the U.S. Signal Corps to numerous school groups and visitors, and successfully established and operated multiple signal posts during Saturday’s engagement.

It was an outstanding first major event for our unit, and we’re already looking forward to returning in two years. A special thanks goes out to the staff of the Honey Springs Battlefield Museum for their hard work and dedication throughout the event in managing and supporting all of us as reenactors. A thank you also goes out to the command staff for facilitating a safe and smooth set of skirmishes for all involved.
